ServSafe® Alcohol Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Training for California

The ServSafe Alcohol course has been approved by the California ABC to meet state training requirements (CA Assembly Bill 1221) that will begin July 1st, 2022.

This course is designed to educate food service employees on how alcohol influences behavior, identifies signs of intoxication, outlines legal issues that may arise in an alcohol-related incident and teaches you ways to prevent over-serving. $15 per person. Use code RBS20 for 20% off.

This training is required for all alcoholic beverage servers and their managers to successfully complete.

 

There are three steps in taking this course and exam:

1. Prior to taking the ServSafe Alcohol California Online Course, users need to register with the CALIFORNIA ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL  (ABC); click on REGISTER. Make sure you copy the nine digit server ID Number provided at registration; you will need this for STEP 2.

2. Start your REQUIRED ALCOHOL COURSE (CLICK HERE) through the ServSafe website. You must have your nine digit server ID Number from your registration with the California ABC to start your REQUIRED ALCOHOL COURSE. The course is $15 per person. Use code RBS20 for 20% off.

3. WHEN YOU COMPLETE YOUR COURSE: ServSafe will transfer your course record to the California ABC. Upon their acknowledgement of your training, you will return to the California Alcoholic Beverage Control to take your state administered exam
