San Diego, CA – The California Restaurant Association, San Diego Chapter will once again assist in coordinating the High School Hospitality Conference on Tuesday, March 14, from 9:15am-1:45pm at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park.

The local hospitality industry is sizzling hot, and hundreds of local high school students will be on hand to get the resources they need to pursue careers in the growing culinary and tourism sectors.

San Diego High School Hospitality Conference will bring together approximately 450 students and industry professionals at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, located in Embarcadero Marina Park South.

The annual event, now in its 25th year, is designed for students who are currently enrolled in hospitality and culinary programs. Students from 12 high schools will explore various career paths and interact with top industry professionals during tours of hotels and restaurants. Special thanks to San Diego Gas & Electric as none of this could be accomplished without their generous support. In addition, the San Diego County Lodging Association also helps to sponsor this event.

Scheduled to appear:

  • San Diego Chapter of California Restaurant Association President, Jon Weber, Co-Founder and Owner Cowboy Star Restaurant and Butcher Shop, and Education Committee Chair, Tyler Martin, Regional General Manager, Brigantine Inc.
  • Connie Cepeda, Community Relations Advisor, San Diego Gas & Electric
  • Guest speaker Chef Barry Schneider, Executive Chef Del Mar Racetrack and Fairgrounds
