This month, we’re focusing on empowering your business with time-saving tools, PCI DSS compliance support and real-time service notifications. These tools are designed to give you greater control, drive visibility and keep your business informed and protected. Everything you need, right where you need it. Let’s dive into the details!
Because business environments, technologies and processes continually change, maintaining annual PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) validation is essential to ensure payment data security practices remain effective and aligned with current operations.
What’s at stake when the critical safeguard is missed
Attestation of Compliance is also a critical control required by the card networks to confirm ongoing compliance. Missing your annual PCI DSS attestation isn’t a minor administrative slip. It can:
- Increase fraud and breach risk
- Undermine brand trust
- Create internal compliance gaps
- Trigger card network fines, fees and higher interchange costs
How to check your PCI DSS status
Log in to Payments Insider, select Account > Business, filter by account, and click Show Results. The PCI Remaining column shows how many days remain until recertification. “Expired – renew now” means your validation has lapsed. If you aren’t sure how to proceed, contact your account manager.
Simplify PCI DSS compliance
PCI documentation can be time-consuming, depending on your environment.
- We partner with Viking Cloud to support PCI DSS validation through the PCI Compliance Manager, an online QSA-backed portal. Contact your account manager if you’re unsure whether you’re enrolled or would like to enroll.
- Ask about our solutions that streamline PCI DSS compliance, reduce validation scope, support ongoing compliance and protect stored card data from misuse.
Keep in mind that outdated payment acceptance devices are not PCI DSS compliant, which could put you at a high risk of fraud. Your account manager can help you bring your payments environment in line with compliance.
