(May 08, 2026) SACRAMENTO, CA – The California Restaurant Association (CRA), the state’s oldest and largest nonprofit representing the foodservice community, proudly marks its 120th anniversary this year. Since 1906, CRA has supported restaurateurs through growth, innovation, cultural shifts, and challenges.

Over 120 years, California’s restaurant industry has evolved significantly, influenced by changing consumer tastes, technology, workforce dynamics, economic pressures, and public policy.

“California restaurants are more than places to dine – they are gathering spaces, job creators, cultural hubs, and anchors of local communities,” said Jot Condie, President & CEO of the California Restaurant Association. “For 120 years, we have had the pleasure of supporting this extraordinary community.”

Join the celebration on June 13th by downloading the CRA’s 120th Celebration Media Toolkit and sharing your restaurant stories.
