Esau is a graduate from California State University, Los Angeles, where he served as an assistant grant researcher and participated in the Panetta Institute’s Congressional Internship Program, spending a semester in Congressman Ami Bera’s office in Washington, D.C. Before joining the CRA, Esau was an Executive Fellow at the California Department of Public Health. In his role there, he managed a portfolio of bills on behalf of CDPH – engaging with the State legislature, liaising with external organizations, and managing the Department’s recommendations on bills to the Governor’s Office.
