MasterCard will be at the Western Food Expo Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo (WFHE) Sunday through Tuesday at the Anaheim Convention Center. CRA members are invited to visit MasterCard at booth No. 1664 to learn about its programs and services, including Market Vision Reports, which provide restaurants with custom sales data and key customer insights to identify market opportunities and track marketing effectiveness.

SHOW ATTENDEES CAN ‘SHOW OFF THEIR APP’ FOR A CHANCE TO WIN AN IPAD
(SACRAMENTO – Aug. 6, 2012) – The California Restaurant Association’s (CRA) FoodVoice app will make its grand industry debut at the Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo (WFHE) Aug. 12-14 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Representatives will be at booth No. 1567 throughout the show to inform restaurant operators about the free dynamic smartphone app.
- 3. CRA partners with MasterCard to support California restaurants with new insights offerings
MasterCard has announced an initiative to offer CRA members a range of creative programs and business intelligence solutions to optimize, streamline and grow their businesses. The relationship will initially focus on tools delivered by MasterCard Advisors’ Information Services division including California Restaurant Reports and Market Vision Report.

- Oppose Berkeley’s local minimum wage proposal
The Berkeley City Council recently requested that the city manager draft a minimum wage ordinance for review and consideration by the city’s commission on labor. A subcommittee of the Commission on Labor will host two public hearings to gather information at 3 p.m. Tuesday or 3 p.m. June 18 at the Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center, 2180 Milvia St., Cypress Conference Room, First Floor.
- Full Assembly to vote on annual minimum wage hikes
This week, the full Assembly will consider AB 10 (Alejo), which proposes to raise the minimum wage by $1.25 over three years and then put wage increases on auto-pilot for annual increases. If approved, this proposal will kick in the same day that the federal government’s employer health care mandate will begin on Jan. 1, 2014.
