TRANSFORMING THE INDUSTRY’S ROLE IN EVERYDAY GIVING
Round It Up America launched in October 2009 as a simple answer to capitalize on the number of customers dining out on a daily basis to give back to community charities. The program gives guests the option of rounding up their tab to the nearest dollar. Since then, the organization has skyrocketed to include eight restaurant companies, and has raised and distributed more than $500,000 to local, regional and national charities. A percentage of all donations made in California are designated directly to the California Restaurant Association Educational Foundation – a commitment that has resulted in $35,000 in funding since 2010.
