New to the Sacramento market, the San Francisco-based company serves cities across the world. In California, Uber has also presence in Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco – and is rolling out service in Orange County and Napa.
“We love partnering with restaurants and restaurant companies because it’s a very natural fit,” Uber community manager Tess Russell said. “People want to go out and have a great time, enjoy a great meal and not worry parking or about how they’re going to get home.”
Most users request a car using the Uber mobile app, which features geo-tracking technology that allows clients to track the car as it approaches their location. Others use their smartphones to request a car viauber.com, and some text drivers directly from any cell phone.
Rock ’n Restaurants attendees are invited to try Uber for transportation to or from the airport and the events in downtown Sacramento. Use promo code SacCRA to receive $20 off.
