Feniger is considered a leading authority on Latin American cuisine and is a successful restaurateur, cookbook author and television personality. She competed on season two of Top Chef Masters, and is well known for her Food Network show with partner Mary Sue Milliken, Too Hot Tamales. Together, they’ve operated Border Grill, City Café, City and Ciudad. In 2009, Feniger opened her first solo venture, Susan Feniger's Street, which features a multi-ethnic variety of street foods.
The California ProStart Cup is an annual culinary and management competition where hundreds of ProStart students convene to compete. The event will be held March 17-18 at the Pasadena Convention Center. First-place culinary and management teams will have the chance to participate in the National ProStart Invitational April 19 in Baltimore, Maryland.
