With some of the biggest names in Sacramento's culinary scene already lined up to participate in Farm-to-Fork Restaurant Week events, there is still time for are restaurants to join the celebration.
The CRA Sacramento chapter and SCVB will produce $250,000 media campaign leading into restaurant week, driving customers to www.farmtoforkcapital.com/restaurantweek, and to participating restaurants.
In addition to special prix-fixe menus, special events, wine events and festivals will include opportunities for the public to mingle with the farmers, winemakers and brewers who produce goods within a 75-mile radius.
The California Restaurant Association also features an ever-growing local vendor list online. Distributors include farms, wineries and breweries all within a 75-mile radius of the capital city.
More than 30 restaurants have signed on to the event, including Biba, Broderick Restaurant and Bar, de Vere's Irish Pub, Dos Coyotes Border Café, Fat's Family of Restaurants, Lowbrau and Ruth's Chris Steak House.
Participating restaurants in similar events have historically experienced a large bump in sales and in first-time customers.
Additionally, the CRA is offering a special promotion for Farm-to-Fork participants who aren't yet members of the CRA, including first year's membership with the $200 fee for the event.
