Thousands of restaurant industry professionals will head to the illustrious Gaylord Texan June at the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas for three days of education, thought-leadership, networking and lessons on food innovation.
The 7th annual FARE Conference is an opportunity for restaurant suppliers and operators to take a holistic look at the foodservice industry and features a number of exciting events.
Featured speakers include Texas's native son President George W. Bush, Food Network Celebrity Chef Robert Irvine, Pete Filiaci of Univision and influential couple – Captain Mark Kelly and former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords. And, no, Bush won't be discussing painting.
Bush, Kelly and Giffords will speak on leadership. While both Bush and Giffords draw from careers as politicians who faced extraordinary circumstances, Kelly is a retired Navy pilot and officer as well as having worked as an astronaut. Filiaci will cover ways of connecting with Hispanic consumers with Chef Irvine touching on how to conjure “culinary magic.” In all, 30 speakers will be featured during the conference – covering a wide range of topics, from food policy to the business of coffee.
In addition to the impressive lineup of speakers scheduled during the conference, FARE's annual food pavilion offers the opportunity to see the latest and greatest innovations in food, beverages, equipment, services and supplies.
A few featured presenters will include Sysco, Pepsico, Kraft, Tyson and Day 'N Night Bites. There also will be a culinary competition during the first night of the conference, where teams will compete to develop the most creative ideas for portable and convenient dishes. Capping off the competition will be a culinary clash between two football greats: Herschel Walker and Bo Jackson.
The conference is slated for June 16-18. For more information, go online at www.fareconference.com.
