(Sacramento, CA) – The California Restaurant Association is excited to announce the hiring of Erin Mascho as Director of Development for the CRA Educational Foundation (CRAEF.)
For Ms. Mascho, a passionate and accomplished alumnus of CRAEF, this marks a return to the industry she was first exposed to in high school. While a student, Ms. Mascho competed at the state and national level in restaurant management competitions as a participant in ProStart, the curriculum that empowers high school students to enter the restaurant industry and the workforce at large. Through ProStart, Ms. Mascho earned a full scholarship to study hospitality management at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, where she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees and graduated summa cum laude.
Prior to her new role, Ms. Mascho served as Director of Alumni Affinity at the University of Southern California, where she was responsible for creating and leading integrated programs to strengthen a network of more than 380,000 alumni worldwide. Previously, Ms. Mascho worked as program coordinator for the CRAEF, where she immediately demonstrated her passion for helping other aspiring professionals succeed in the restaurant industry.
“Having Erin rejoin the CRAEF will help bolster ProStart and other valuable programs immensely,” said Jot Condie, President + CEO of the California Restaurant Association. “Erin is perfectly suited to inspire a new generation of restaurant industry professionals and to ensure CRAEF is able to continue initiatives like ProStart into the future.”
Ms. Mascho began work in her new role on July 8. She is based in South Pasadena.
