The second annual Culinary Clash: Battle Los Angeles event has already generated more than $70,000 for the California Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (CRAEF), but organizers are hoping an online fundraiser will spark enough support to surpass its goals.
A public fundraising campaign launched last week, with the goals of raising funds for and awareness about the Foundation.
Supporters can vote for their favorite restaurant team and support culinary education programs in California by making a tax-deductible donation to CRAEF. The Clash’s online fundraiser makes it easy to give.
The team that raises the most money for CRAEF will win the top Purse award at the Clash. Simply use the module, powered by ImRaising and PayPal, on calrest.org/clashvote to make your donation.
Held in conjunction with the Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo, the Clash will pit 10 restaurant teams against each other in a cooking competition. The exec-chef teams will be assisted by ProStart students serving as sous chefs.
