STATEWIDE EVENT WILL HIGHLIGHT SACRAMENTO REGION’S AGRICULTURAL HERITAGE
The event is hosted by the California Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (CRAEF), and will take place at the Sacramento Convention Center. More than 200 high schools students from across the state are slated to compete in the culinary and hospitality management competitions over the course of two days.
As a nod to Sacramento’s role as America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital, CRAEF will host the Farm-to-Fork Expo from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. Media and the public are invited to attend.
“As future leaders of the foodservice industry, it’s crucial that students have a connection to our region’s rich agricultural heritage,” CRA Educational Foundation Alycia Harshfield said. “It’s impressive how conscientious many of the students already are, and meeting these exhibitors first-hand will strengthen their understanding of these practices we value so highly.”
