Longtime California Restaurant Association Member to Receive Award
Border Grill to receive the Torch Award at Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo
(Sacramento, Calif) – The California Restaurant Association (CRA) is pleased to announce that longtime CRA members and supporters Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken (Border Grill Restaurants) will be the recipients of the Torch Award, for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the restaurant and foodservice community. This annual award recognizes leaders and dynamic individuals whose innovations have propelled our industry forward.
Chefs Feniger and Milliken are celebrated entrepreneurs, authors, co-owners of Border Grill Restaurants & Food Truck, and co-stars of over 350 episodes of the Food Network's "Too Hot Tamales". Feniger and Milliken will join Certified Master Chef Ferdinand Metz in our Culinary Demonstration Theater for an intimate discussion open to all attendees of the 2015 Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo on Monday, August 24 at 1:00pm.
The award presentation and discussion will be one of the many draws to the 2015 Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo, the largest showcase of foodservice products in the Western United States. Other special events at the Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo include the Culinary Clash, New Product Showcase, The Solutions Center, Food Trends Experience, Culinary Demonstration Theater, Latino Foods Pavilion, Healthier Choices Pavilion, the CA Craft Brewers Association Pavilion, International Showcase, and the Key Buyer Alliance.
