The California State Board of Equalization is hosting a free food industry seminar April 1 in Hermosa Beach. The seminar will be hosted by Jerome E. Horton, chairman of the California State Board of Equalization and feature a discussion on topics that include taxes, tip and wage reporting, updates from the Public Health Department and new minimum wage law.
Those expected to present on these issues are the Board of Equalization Sales and Use Tax Department, Employment Development Department, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and Small Business Development Center. This is a great opportunity for restaurant, bar and mobile food truck owners to come and ask questions about pressing issues that are effecting the industry.
