6. State aims to draw out diners in January for third annual California Restaurant Month

For the third year, California’s tourism commission, Visit California, will roll out the red carpet for tourists and residents in a statewide celebration of the restaurant industry with California Restaurant Month. Thirty-three destinations will host local events, encompassing thousands of restaurants that will serve special prix-fixe menus, celebrity chef dinners, wine pairing events or other promotions during Jan.uary. The California Restaurant Association San Diego County chapter will present its biannual San Diego Restaurant Week as part of the statewide effort Jan. 13-18.
