September is National Food Safety Month

Be safe, don't cross-contaminate

National Food Safety Month is an opportunity to reinforce the importance of food safety education. The California Restaurant Association provides comprehensive information about food-borne illnesses, food allergies and the California Food Handler Card at calrest.org/foodsafety.

This year’s NFSM theme is "Be Safe, Don’t Cross-Contaminate," focusing on best practices for avoiding the spread of pathogens from one food or surface to another. Head over to foodsafetymonth.com for more information about this year's topic and to download promotional tools.
