McDonald's franchisee, CRA serves breakfast to campers
On Wednesday, the California Restaurant Association joined Michael Mangione Jr., a McDonald’s franchisee and president of the McDonald’s Operators’ Association of Southern California at Camp Wesson in Griffith Park.
McDonald’s generously donated breakfast for local students attending the camp, which is an annual event hosted by Los Angeles City Council President Herb Wesson.
More than 100 at-risk boys and girls participated in the free event, which took them to Hansen Dam Aquatic Center in the San Fernando Valley for three days of adventure.
In addition to camping, the participants also swam and fished in a neighboring lake. Wesson’s annual summer camp was founded to help steer local, at-risk youth to a life away from crime and gangs.
