Labor Commissioner, Assemblyman Logue to host town hall meeting Wednesday in Chico
Restaurant owners are encouraged to attend a town hall meeting for business owners, hosted by the California Labor Commissioner and Assemblyman Dan Logue. The hearing is slated for 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Chico City Council Chambers, 421 Main St., Chico.
Assemblyman Dan Logue, chairman of the Assembly Republican Caucus Working Group on Jobs and Economic Recovery, will co-host the hearing with California Labor Commissioner Julie Su on how the state Division of Labor Standards Enforcement and businesses can better cooperate to uphold labor standards without hurting job creation.
"This will be an important event for local business owners to attend," Logue said. "The conversation will be open and honest, and hopefully this will start a new era of how the agency enforces labor law in the North State, focusing on cooperation rather than punishment."
This meeting will be a great opportunity to share ideas and concerns with the commissioner and continue our strong working relationship with the department.
