The City of San Diego Economic Development and Intergovernmental Relations Committee (EDIR) will vote on a regional super minimum wage and paid sick leave mandate Wednesday, despite the impending statewide minimum wage hike to $9 taking effect July 1.
Proposed citywide minimum wage
$11.09 per hour July 1, 2015
$12.09 per hour July 1, 2016
$13.09 per hour July 1, 2017
Starting Jan. 1, 2018 wage increases will be based on the rate of inflation
Proposed paid sick leave
Mandates five days of paid sick leave per year for all employees.
