Defeated: Damaging Meal Period Legislation
AB 2593 (Keene – R-Chico) would have provided only unionized transportation industry employers flexibility for the timing of meal periods. Unfortunately, allowing this bill to become law would have set a damaging precedent to the detriment of all other industries including the restaurant industry.
