Defeated: Baby Changing Table Mandate

AB 1105 (Mullin - D-South San Francisco) would have unfairly singled out restaurants to provide baby-changing tables in all restroom facilities, placing restaurants at a greater risk for frivolous lawsuits and ADA noncompliance. The CRA defeated this same proposal in 2005 and was victorious in defeating the mandate once again in 2006. The defeat of this bill ensures that the provision of baby-changing tables remains a non-codified business decision for restaurateurs.
