Rx for reform
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act are monumental laws that completely overhaul the U.S. health care system, as well as employers' responsibilities. The health care reform law is aimed at expanding access to health care coverage for millions of Americans, and involves many new requirements to be met by both individuals and employers. The California Restaurant Association will help restaurant operators navigate the changes through a monthly series exploring health care reform in partnership with Mercer, a leading global provider of consulting, outsourcing and investment services. Future installments featuring key analysis and action items will appear in upcoming issues of The Restaurant Standard, as well here on calrest.org.
