New San Diego chapter board leadership announced
The San Diego County chapter of the California Restaurant Association announced the installation of the 2008-2009 executive board members. Lehn Goetz, co-owner of Café Coyote, will serve as president. Goetz was the 2008 California Restaurant Association Restaurateur of the year. Fred Glick, vice president of operations for Phil’s BBQ, will serve as first vice president. Glick has more than 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry. Tracy Borkum, owner of Kensington Grill, Chive, Laurel and Urban Kitchen Catering, will serve as second vice president. Borkum was voted the restaurant association’s Restaurateur of the Year in 2007. Jeff Schroeder, division vice president, operations support for Jack in the Box, will serve as secretary. Schroeder is a 32-year veteran of the restaurant industry and has held various management positions for more than 12 years. Susie Baumann, owner of Bali Hai and Tom Ham’s Lighthouse, will serve as treasurer. Baumann has been a member of the association since 1978 and has been on the board of directors since 1988.
