Expectations of ProStart mentored students

In order to guarantee that only qualified and motivated students are sent to each worksite, students must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Currently enrollment in either the ProStart program or receipt of a scholarship from CRAEF.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Sixteen years old with permission of a parent or guardian (if under 18).
  • Access to transportation to and from work.
  • Adherence to all worksite policies and rules.
  • Prompt arrival for work shifts.
  • Continued demonstration of hard work both in class and at work.
  • Proactive about asking questions about assignments, expectations and appropriate behavior.
  • Knowledge and execution of employer’s policies and safety guidelines.
  • Acquisition of the skills and education needed to reach career goals.
