Each year, the Foundation awards dozens of scholarships to deserving high school seniors and undergraduate students who dream of pursuing higher education to study the restaurant, foodservice and hospitality industries, as well as to instructors who want to continue their education. In 2012, $66,000 in co-branded scholarships were given to students. Since its inception in 1981, CRAEF has awarded more than $1 million in scholarships and grants.
The CRAEF Board of Directors carefully selects scholarship recipients during an annual application and interview process. Worthy recipients are chosen on the basis of their overall scholastic achievement, enthusiasm, creativity and potential within the industry.
