On Monday, May 4, the California Restaurant Association Educational Foundation and the California State University hosted Experience Hospitality: Sacramento 2015. Experience Hospitality brings together aspiring young students, the hospitality industry and partners in higher education. Roughly 120 Northern California students participated in this half-day event featuring a CSU student panel, tours of hospitality venues in Sacramento and a networking lunch. Students also received information on the California State University, community colleges and financial aid.
The purpose of the event is to increase high school students' exposure to the hospitality industry and provide them with resources to take the next step towards college and career. This was the fifth installment of its kind and modeled after past Experience Hospitality’s in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Jose.
Students received behind-the-scenes tours of local top venues in Sacramento. The tours highlight the diversity, size and opportunity in the hospitality industry.
